Ry decided he liked baseball so much, he wanted to play Fall Ball. He has a great coach and has really learned a lot. It is amazing how much he has improved over the season. He moved up to coach pitch from t-ball, so it was good for him to get some practice in before the spring season. The league we play in is very competitive. They are also very successful, they have made several trips to the Little League World Series, including one in 2007. But, more importantly, he is having a lot of fun. He had a great game this past Saturday!

Indianapolis Indians Game
I am still almost 2 months behind on my blogging, hopefully, I will get caught up soon! When we went to Indy in August, we attended an Indians game. It is a fun place to watch a ball game. The stadium is really nice and it is a much more intimate setting than the major league ballparks. A friend of mine from Butler does all the scoreboard graphics for the games, so he brought the boys up and let them see the control room. They really thought that was cool! He was also able to get us some great seats right behind home base. So, thanks to my dad for organizing it all and thanks again to John for a great night at the ballpark!

Kol's Birthday
Wow, I might get caught up on my blogging one of these days. It is on my list of about 1000 things I need to catch up on, so we will see when it gets checked off.
Anyway, Kol had his fifth birthday in August. He was excited because it meant that he got to start soccer and school. His celebration started early, we had cake at the Deckers (my aunt and uncle) on the Sunday before his birthday. He wanted a Frog Bog cake and he liked the result.
I forgot the candles and Aunt Karma saved the day with one GIANT candle. Kol thought it was awesome, I think the giant candle might have to become a tradition!
Then, he had a Hot Wheels party with his friends on Tuesday. This looked a little better before the gel ran everywhere. I found spray cake decorating stuff, it's like spray paint for cakes, it was fun and super easy!
His birthday was on Wednesday and he wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese. We all had a good time there. I have to admit that Marty and I turn a bit into kids ourselves trying to win tickets. After that, we went to Red Robin for dinner. He giggled the entire time the wait staff was singing to him, it was really cute.

Brown County State Park
At the very end of July, we headed over to Indiana for Marty's mom's family reunion. It was held at Brown County State Park. The lodge had just recently opened an indoor water park, which I think was the boys' favorite part of the trip. These pictures are from the nature center at the park.

The Coolest Balloon Characters Ever
We went to Don Pablos one night at the end of July. It was a Friday night and they had a balloon artist there. He was the best I have ever seen. Ry requested an alien and it came complete with a ray gun. Kol got a Spiderman. They were so excited and they actually handled it well when they slowly started deflating after a few days.
